Good to know

OKX Wallet specifics.

  • The OKX Web3 wallet, offered as an extension or in-app, is non-custodial, and only the user controls the private keys.
  • Assets deposited via an unsupported network will be irretrievable, so the network on the sending and receiving platforms must match.
  • The OKX help article says to make sure the sending platform supports the chosen network before sending.

Questions

OKX Wallet, answered.

Does OKX Wallet send a tax report?

No. OKX Wallet is a self-custody wallet, so there is no broker to issue one. Your history is on the blockchains it connects to, and HashBooks reads it from your public addresses.

Will HashBooks ever ask for my OKX Wallet recovery phrase?

Never. HashBooks needs public addresses only. Anyone asking for your recovery phrase or private key, including someone claiming to be from HashBooks or OKX Wallet, is trying to take your funds.

Which HashBooks plan do I need for OKX Wallet?

Connecting OKX Wallet and seeing an estimated tax summary is free for up to 100 transactions across 3 connections. Filing reports for your country start on the Starter plan; see pricing.

Can HashBooks move anything from my OKX Wallet address?

No. A public address shows history but can’t sign anything, and HashBooks never asks for a recovery phrase or private key. It reads; it can’t trade, withdraw or transfer.
