Worked example
How the tax adds up.
A typical move onto Brave Wallet, with the tax shown for the country you picked. The numbers are for illustration only; yours come from your own history.

Questions
Brave Wallet, answered.
Does Brave Wallet send a tax report?
No. Brave Wallet is a self-custody wallet, so there is no broker to issue one. Your history is on the blockchains it connects to, and HashBooks reads it from your public addresses.
Will HashBooks ever ask for my Brave Wallet recovery phrase?
Never. HashBooks needs public addresses only. Anyone asking for your recovery phrase or private key, including someone claiming to be from HashBooks or Brave Wallet, is trying to take your funds.
Which HashBooks plan do I need for Brave Wallet?
Connecting Brave Wallet and seeing an estimated tax summary is free for up to 100 transactions across 3 connections. Filing reports for your country start on the Starter plan; see pricing.
Can HashBooks move anything from my Brave Wallet address?
No. A public address shows history but can’t sign anything, and HashBooks never asks for a recovery phrase or private key. It reads; it can’t trade, withdraw or transfer.
